What things to do in Kyoto and Osaka?

We’re using Shinkansen to go to Kyoto from Tokyo Station using JR pass it’s already included also and it takes 2 hours and 40 minutes from Tokyo to Kyoto.

Kyoto

Kiyomizu-dera & Gion

This place is a temple and a lot of local snacks in the street when you’re going to the temple,it’s cost around ¥400 to go inside. And in this place i rent a Yukata (for summer),Kimono is a Japanese Clothes for winter so if you want to use at summer it’s called Yukata.

I rent a Yukata at OKAMOTO it’s start from ¥4000/person (not included tax) and if you want the hair set it cost ¥500/person (not included tax),you can rent this Yukata until 18:30.

Kiyomizu-dera it’s close from Gion so if you want find another spot to use Yukata you can take bus going to Gion.

Fushimi Inari

Did you ever see the picture with a red long hallway? Here’s the place! I suggest you to come around 2PM or in the morning because in the afternoon (around 11PM - 1 PM) will be a lot of tour so you can’t having a good picture,there will be a lot of people at your photo frame.

 

Osaka

Osaka castle

At Morinomiya station you can take the subway going to this place and if you want to go inside the castle it’s cost ¥600/person.

After walking around osaka castle, i felt very hungry so I bought some japan authentic snack, takoyaki! Believe me it’s delicious

Kobe

Randomly in the middle of nowhere we decide to go to kobe to try the best kobe beef at Japan, of course still using our 1 weeks JR pass, it only takes 30 minutes from Osaka to Kobe and you can try very soft kobe beef steak ❤️ 

It start from ¥4000 depends on what kind of meat do you want but it very worth.

Universal Studio

And the best of the best is UNIVERSAL STUDIO OSAKA JAPAN. I love this place, a lot of adventure games and it super fun!

For harry potter fans, they have their own harry potter world and it’s super cool! I suggest you to try the butter beer (non-alcohol) I can’t describe the taste but it’s super gewd (good).

I spent one day here and I’m super happy feels like i want to go back again here.

What food should i try in Japan?

Ichiran Ramen

It’s a must! In every branch is always a lot of queue, they provide a single seat for every costumer and in front of you there’s a window for every food that your order it will comes out from there, isn’t fun?

Coco curry

Yes we have it in Indonesia, but believe me the taste is different here

Nishiki Warai

Japan authentic snack, i try an okonomiyaki and warayaki, it’s taste soooo gooooddd, i mean you can feel it by just look at the picture

Things to do in Japan (Tokyo-Kyoto-Osaka)

Hi I’m gonna share you about what this to do in Japan! I’m going to 3 city here but I’m gonna separete my blog into 2 part. Now I’m gonna tell you about basic things you should know and Tokyo and recommend hotel and the second part I’m gonna share you the place you should visit in Kyoto and Osaka and my recommendation food in Japan. And this is a guide for backpackers travelling (non-tour).

First we gonna talk about things you must know before go to Japan. Japan has 2 type of subway it’s called Metro and JR,if you use a different subway you have to pay twice (example : first you take metro and move to JR you have to pay twice,but if it’s all metro or all JR just pay once it’s okay).

If you having a long trip i suggest you deposit a metro card,the metro card also has 2 type it’s called pasmo and suica,i don’t really know the different of it but i using pasmo,it need deposit for ¥500/card and you can refill the card when you needed. Pasmo also can use for city bus. You can buy it at metro station. Before you go home don’t forget to refund it at metro station.

And for the JR if you planning to go to other city (example : from tokyo to kyoto/osaka/anywhere (depends on tour trip)) i also suggest you buy a JR pass,it has long period of time,but i take 1 weeks for around ¥29.000/person and you can buy it online.

 Tokyo

Now I’m gonna talk about place that you should visit in Tokyo.

Disneyland & Disneysea Tokyo

Happiest place on earth they said,for this place you can buy the ticket online,i buy 2 days pass ticket first day i take to Disneyland and second day i take for disneysea. You also can book it online for maybe around IDR 2.000.000 (Indonesia money) for 2 days pass.

When i got there it’s summer and at that time Tokyo it’s veryvery hot so they don’t play the fireworks. It’s too bad but I still can enjoy it,disney it’s always a good idea for me.

If you like extreme games I recommend you take space mountain and big thunder mountain.

Disneyland subway station it’s called Maihama station so just find at google maps so you can’t get lost.

This one is also a shopping street like any other shopping street.

Here’s a shopping street,there’s a lot Japan local drugstore and camera shop,they also have a big mall called OIOI.

Asakusa

It’s a food street and also shopping street but here you can also visit Sensoji Temple,in this place you can also rent a Yukata (Japanese traditional clothes for summer) and walking through this place using it.

Famous crossing street in Japan,have you ever watch tokyo drift? Yeah this is the place where they took the scene,it’s the most busy intersection in the world. They said if you’re in Tokyo and not come to this intersection well you’re not officially in Japan,haha..

Hai,setelah udah beberapa lama gak update akhirnya sekarang bisa buat new story lagi! Kali ini aku bakalan sharing tentang my very short break from internship,jadi sempet izin 3 hari buat ikut trip ini I’m so excited to share it with you guys!

Jadi 3 days trip ini aku pergi ke Inner Mongolia,dimana sih Inner Mongolia? Aku Cuma jelasin sekilas ya.. Jadi Inner Mongolia ini masih termasuk daerah bagian China yang tentunya berdekatan dong dengan negara yang bernama Mongolia,dan kota ini terletak di bagian utara China. Mereka punya bahasa sendiri tapi rata-rata juga bisa berbahasa Mandarin.

Jarak dari kota Beijing ke Inner mongolia lumayan jauh dan memakan waktu sekitar 9 jam perjalanan menggunakan Bus. How to get there? Aku saranin kalo mau ke sini cari tour aja karena bakalan lebih murah kalo ikut tour,aku sendiri memilih CETtrip buat tour kali ini..

Day 1
Jadi kita berangkat pagi banget jam 5 dari kota Beijing sesuai meeting point yang udah di tentukan sebelumnya,dan yang ak seneng dari tour ini mereka berangkatnya ontime ✅.
Sesampainya di Inner Mongol kita langsung menuju grassland,di tempat ini terdapat suku-suku Inner Mongolia yang masih kental budayanya mereka menyambut bis kita dengan nyanyian dan suara mereka pun sangat bagus..
Karena sudah siang kita langsung lunch,seperti yang di infokan sebelumnya makanan di tempat ini bakalan “apa adanya” karena food supply mereka sangat terbatas jadi harus memaklumi..

Setelah makan kita langsung menuju horse riding memutari grassland! And it was fun!

Di tengah perjalanan kita bakalan berenti sebentar untuk mencoba teh susu dan cemilan khas Inner Mongolia dan kalo mau bawa buat oleh-oleh mereka juga jual lo..

Setelah sekitar 1 jam horse riding,kita bisa beristirahat sebentar dan tempat menginap untuk malam ini adalah Mongolian Yurts,jadi berupa sebuah rumah kecil khas suku Mongolian dan aku menginap di situ untuk 1 malam,untuk kamarnya sih bersih dan ada toilet dalamnya menurut aku cukup  (Notes: no water heater)..

Day 2

Kalo bisa bangun pagi jam 05.00 pagi bakalan liat Sunrise yang cantik banget,sayangnya aku bangunnya jam 05.15 dan mataharinya udah terlalu atas jadi gak dapet deh..

Hari kedua ini kita bakalan kubuqi desert seharian! Setelah breakfast langsung menuju kubuqi desert! Jadi di kubuqi desert ada beberapa desert sport seperti desert surfing car,desert motorcycle,dll.. Dan pagi ini tournya agak telat about half hour baru jalan ❌. Oh iya sebelum ke kubuqi desert kita berenti makan siang dulu,makan siangnya lebih enak dong pastinya dari yang di hari sebelumnya ✅ setelah makan siang kita baru melanjutkan perjalanan,estimasi time bakalan sampe 3 jam,and reality sekitar 5 jam kita baru sampe di tempat itu ❌

Udah terlalu siang banget sekitar jam 2 kita baru sampe dj desert sport dan langsung antri ke pintu masuk,karena sampainya gak sesuai estimasi aku Cuma bisa menikmati Cable Car(Untuk ke sport spot),Camel Riding,and Sliding Car(Buat Balik ke meeting point)..

Dan lagi tour leadernya bilang kalo kumpul ke meeting point jam 17.30 untungnya kita baru sampe meeting point jam 18.00,kan ngaret kenapa untung? Karena tour leadernya sendiri aja belum sampe meeting point,what do you think? Dan akhirnya pergi dari tempat itu sekitar pukul 19.00 dengan alasan,sebenarnya jam meeting point diganti tapi di desert spot gk ada sinyal jadi gak bisa info ❌❌❌

Buat yang ontime it’s very unfair dong..

Setelah pergi dari desert sport langsung menuju tempat makan dan again tour leader bilang 2 jam sampai dan kenyataannya jam 11 malam kita baru dinner ❌,untungnya dinner kali ini buffet dan lumayan enak menurutku ✅ so not bad lah.. 

Makan selesai kita langsung menuju hotel yang katanya 15 menit tapi realitynya 30 menit ❌ sampe di hotel sekitar jam 12 malam,and it’s not a fancy hotel,Cuma hotel kecil but fasilitas kamarnya bagus udah modern semua dan bersih,aku yang penting bersih udah fine ✅

Day 3

Last day,setelah breakfast kita langsung menuju ke Inner Mongolia Museum,and again late 30minutes dari jam yang di tentuin ❌,sampai di museum kita boleh jalan2 sendiri buat kelilingin museum itu,di dalam museum ini kebanyakan menceritakan kisah suku Mongolian itu sendiri..

Sebenernya aku gak seberapa tertarik sama history tapi karena package tournya jadi yaa di nikmati aja sambil menambah pengetahuan.. (gak tertarik tapi fotonya paling banyak LOL)

Dan ada beberapa souvenir khas Mongolian yang bisa di beli , dan aku beli beberapa..

Ups,masih ada pricetagnya haha 

Setelah dari museum kita menuju ke tempat lunch and it’s HotPot! Menurutku lunch terakhir ini enak banget and worth ✅
Lunch selesai berakhirlah perjalanan ini dan langsung menuju Beijing 9 hours in Bus..
